When To Give
The timing of your gift can be just as meaningful as the gift itself. Strategic giving can make a difference both for you and for Margaret Pratt Community. For example, an income tax charitable deduction may help offset the tax implications of a financial windfall, such as a bonus, capital gain, or Required Minimum Distribution from a retirement account. Talk with your tax advisor about how to align your giving with your financial goals.
Donors also choose to give:
-
At year-end, to maximize annual deductions
-
After a life event, such as selling a home or retiring
-
On a recurring basis, as part of long-term support
-
In memory of a loved one, as part of honoring their legacy
Many gifts come to us in memory of a loved one who has made Margaret Pratt Community their home. We are most grateful for these gifts as they remind us of the person who once resided here and enriched all our lives. Funds are most often used to support our general fund which provides enrichment to all our residents. Our online secure donation form allows you to designate your gift in memory of someone. If you are writing a check, please include the name of the person who you are memorializing.
Whenever you choose to give, your generosity helps ensure high-quality care and community for every resident.
